Choose a charging cable that reaches from the power connection or Wallbox to the vehicle’s charging port along the route the cable will actually follow. Check the parking direction and charging-port position before selecting a length. Do not measure only the straight-line distance.
Measure the required cable route
- Mark the power connection or Wallbox position.
- Park the vehicle as you normally would.
- Locate the vehicle’s charging port.
- Measure the actual route.
- Compare the measurement with the available options.
Choose for your normal parking situation
| Your situation | What to measure |
|---|---|
| The charging port is close to the Wallbox | Measure the direct usable route from the Wallbox to the charging port. |
| The charging port is on the opposite side | Include the route around the front or rear of the vehicle. |
| You park in different directions | Measure both parking directions and use the longer result. |
| More than one vehicle will use the charger | Measure the route to the charging port that is hardest to reach. |
