How to Connect Your Charger to Wi-Fi

Last updated Aug 14, 2026

To connect a supported dé AC charger to Wi-Fi, connect your phone to a secure 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, turn on Bluetooth and allow Location access during the connection. Put the charger into Wi-Fi configuration mode, select it in the app and enter the correct Wi-Fi password. The connection is complete when the app shows that the charger was added successfully.

This guide starts after you have installed the app, signed in and opened the device-adding process. If the app is not yet searching for your charger, first follow how to add a charger to the app.

Check your phone, network and charger

Before starting, check the following:

  • Your phone is connected to a secure 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
  • Bluetooth is turned on.
  • You allow the app to use Location during the connection.
  • The charger is within the Wi-Fi signal coverage area.
  • You know the correct password for the Wi-Fi network.
  • The charger is in Standby Mode.

Important: A 5 GHz Wi-Fi network cannot be used for this connection. For more information, read why the app requires a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.

Put your charger into Wi-Fi configuration mode

The button operation depends on the product. Use only the instructions for your charger.

Product Required state Operation
11 kW Wallbox Standby Mode Press the control button twice.
3 kW Portable EV Charger with Schuko plug, dual-button version Standby Mode Press and hold the current adjustment button marked “A” for 5 seconds.
11 kW Portable EV Charger with 16 A CEE plug, dual-button version Standby Mode Press and hold the current adjustment button marked “A” for 5 seconds.

During Wi-Fi configuration, the LED flashes blue. On the dual-button portable chargers, the Wi-Fi icon also flashes while the charger waits for a connection.

Note: If your product does not match one of the versions in the table, check its user manual for the correct Wi-Fi configuration operation. Do not use the button instructions for a different product or version.

Select the charger in the app

When the app finds the charger, select the device to continue. If the charger does not appear, check that it is still in Wi-Fi configuration mode and that Bluetooth is turned on.

Confirm that the connection is complete

The connection is complete when the app shows Added successfully. The charger screen indicates that Wi-Fi configuration was successful with the successful Wi-Fi status icon.

If the app does not show a successful connection, check the following in order:

  • Confirm that your phone is using a secure 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, not a 5 GHz network.
  • Confirm that Bluetooth is turned on and Location access is allowed during the connection.
  • Confirm that the phone and charger are connecting to the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Enter the Wi-Fi password again and check that it is correct.
  • Make sure the charger is within a strong Wi-Fi signal area.
  • Check whether the charger is linked to another account. If it is, remove it from that account before trying again.

If the connection still fails, contact dé Customer Support. Prepare your charger model, phone system, country or region, and a screenshot of the connection page. Do not include your Wi-Fi password in the screenshot.
