Tap once to start charging. Tap again to stop.
RFID access control is useful when your Wallbox is installed in an open parking space, apartment garage, shared garage, or any area that other people can access.
When RFID is enabled, only users with an authorized RFID card can start charging. This helps prevent unauthorized use of your Wallbox.
The Wallbox is set to Plug & Charge mode by default, so RFID access control is initially disabled. You only need to enable RFID when you want to restrict access.
Your Wallbox comes with three RFID cards for family members or other authorized users.
1. Enable or Disable RFID Access Control
Enable RFID when you need to restrict access
By default, the Wallbox starts charging without an RFID card after the vehicle is connected.
To enable RFID access control:
- Make sure the Wallbox is powered on and in standby mode.
- Place one of the supplied RFID cards against the RFID sensing area on the front of the Wallbox.
- Keep the card there for approximately 10 seconds.
- Remove the card after you hear a beep or see the RFID status icon change.
RFID access control is now enabled.
To disable RFID access control, hold the card against the sensing area again for approximately 10 seconds. The Wallbox will return to Plug & Charge mode.
Hold for approximately 10 seconds: Enable or disable RFID
Important
Holding the card for 10 seconds is only required when switching the RFID function on or off.
You do not need to hold the card for 10 seconds every time you charge.

2. Start Charging with an RFID Card
Use a horizontal four-step layout. Each step should show only one main action.
Step 1: Connect Your Vehicle
Insert the Type 2 charging connector
Insert the Type 2 connector fully into your vehicle’s charging port.
When RFID access control is enabled, the Wallbox will recognize that a vehicle is connected but will wait for authorization. Charging will not start immediately.
Step 2: Tap the RFID Card
Place an authorized card near the sensing area
Briefly place one of the supplied RFID cards against the sensing area on the front of the Wallbox.
Remove the card after you hear the confirmation beep. You only need to tap the card briefly.
One quick tap is enough to authorize charging.
Step 3: Charging Starts
The green status light turns on
After the card is authorized:
- The Wallbox gives a confirmation sound.
- The LED status light turns green.
- The display begins showing charging power.
- The vehicle starts charging.
The display also shows the current RFID status. Use the RFID icon to confirm whether the Wallbox is waiting for authorization or has accepted the card.
Green light on = Charging in progress
Step 4: Tap Again to Stop Charging
Tap the card again when you need to stop
Place the same authorized RFID card against the sensing area again.
After the Wallbox gives a confirmation beep, the current charging session will stop. The charging power shown on the display will return to 0.
Tap again to stop charging.
Do Not Confuse These Two Actions
| Card action | What it does | When to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Hold for approximately 10 seconds | Enables or disables RFID access control | Only when changing the Wallbox operating mode |
| Tap briefly | Starts or stops charging | During normal daily charging |
Who Can Use This Wallbox?
When RFID access control is enabled, only an authorized RFID card can start charging.
- Use the three RFID cards supplied with the Wallbox.
- Keep the cards with trusted family members or authorized users.
- Other access cards, bank cards, or third-party RFID cards are not guaranteed to work.
- Do not try to register unknown cards by repeatedly placing them against the Wallbox.
- If an RFID card is lost, temporarily disable RFID access if necessary. Check the available App settings for your model or contact customer support for the correct next step.
- When access control is not required, you can leave RFID disabled and continue using Plug & Charge mode.
