How to Install the DC Wallbox (20–40 kW)

This installation process applies to the dé 20 kW, 30 kW and 40 kW DC Wallbox. First confirm that the installation area meets the clearance and ventilation requirements. Then install the wall bracket, hang and secure the charger, and complete the applicable AC input connection.

Before installation

  • Read the instructions supplied with the charger before installing or using it.
  • Do not use the charger if its power cable or charging cable is damaged.
  • Do not use the charger if its enclosure or connector is broken.
  • Do not put tools, materials, fingers or other body parts into the charging connector or vehicle connector.
  • Allow at least 60 cm of clearance around the charger for installation and maintenance.
  • Allow at least 30 cm of clearance around the air vents.
  • Install the charger in a well-ventilated area.
  • The power supply must use a three-phase Wye configuration with a TN(-S), IT or TT grounding system.

Refer to the DC Wallbox user manual before beginning the installation.

Mount the DC Wallbox

1. Position the wall bracket

Place the wall-mounted bracket between 600 mm (24 inches) and 1.2 m (4 feet) above the floor.

Fix the bracket to the wall with four M10 expansion screws. Check that the bracket is firmly secured before placing the charger on it.

2. Hang the charger on the bracket

Locate the four tenons on the rear of the charger. Align them with the grooves in the wall-mounted bracket.

Lower the charger into the grooves. Check that all four tenons are seated correctly and that the charger is supported by the bracket.

3. Secure the charger and cable hook

Use an M17 sleeve to secure the charger backplate with its wall screws.

Use an M10 socket to fasten the charging cable hook to the wall with expansion screws. Check that both the charger and the hook are firmly secured and do not wobble.

Connect the AC input

The AC input connection depends on the version supplied with your charger.

Connect the CEE plug-in version

Connect the 63 A CEE plug directly to a compatible 63 A CEE socket.

Connect the hardwired version

  1. Use an XLPE power cable or an equivalent cable with an outer diameter between 32 and 40 mm.
  2. Crimp each conductor with its corresponding terminal before feeding the cable into the charger.
  3. Feed the cable through the cable gland on the bottom of the charger.
  4. Connect L1, L2, L3, N and PE to their corresponding terminals.
  5. Connect L1, L2, L3 and N to the junction box.
  6. Connect the junction box to the power distribution panel.

Important: Follow the terminal positions and connection diagram in the manual supplied with the charger. Do not interchange the L1, L2, L3, N or PE connections.

Check the completed installation

  • The wall bracket is firmly fixed.
  • All four rear tenons are correctly seated in the bracket grooves.
  • The charger does not wobble.
  • The charging cable hook is securely fixed.
  • The required clearance around the charger and air vents remains unobstructed.
  • The AC input matches the supplied CEE plug-in or hardwired version.
