How to Set the Charging Timer on the Charger Screen

On supported dé 11 kW chargers, the timer on the charger screen is a delayed-start function. It delays the start of charging by a selected period between 0.5 and 8 hours.

Set the delay while the charger is powered and in standby, before connecting the Type 2 connector to the vehicle. Always follow the manual supplied with your exact product version.

Products covered by this guide

The same basic delayed-start process applies to these products:

• 11 kW Portable EV Charger with separate current and clock buttons;
• 11 kW Mobile Wallbox with Socket and one multifunction button; and
• 11 kW Wallbox with Cable and one multifunction touch control.

The button design differs, but all three products require the delay to be selected in standby before the vehicle is connected.

Set delayed charging

1. Connect the charger to power.

   Connect the charger to its compatible power supply. Keep the Type 2 connector disconnected from the vehicle.

2. Make sure the charger is in standby.

   If the screen has entered sleep mode, wake the charger before changing the delay setting.

3. Use the timer control for your charger.
   • Two-button Portable EV Charger: press the button marked with the clock symbol.
   • Mobile Wallbox or Wallbox with one multifunction control: press and hold the control while the charger is in standby.
4. Check the delay shown on the screen.

   The selected delayed-start time appears in the scheduled charging area. The charger supports a delay between 0.5 and 8 hours.

5. Select the required delay.

   Use the same timer control again as required and check the value shown on the screen after each change.

6. Connect the Type 2 connector to the vehicle.

   Connect the vehicle only after the required delay is displayed. The charger will wait for the selected period before starting the charging session.

7. Check that delayed charging is active.

   Confirm that the scheduled charging information remains visible on the screen. The vehicle should be connected, but charging should not begin immediately while the delay is active.

Example

If you select a 2-hour delay and then connect the vehicle, the charger waits for approximately two hours before beginning the charging session. It does not mean that charging will stop after two hours.

How to change or cancel a delay

Change or cancel the delay while the charger is in standby and before connecting it to the vehicle.

The supplied quick-start instructions confirm the 0.5-to-8-hour delay range but do not define one universal cancellation action for every screen version. Use the cancellation method stated in the manual supplied with your exact charger.

Do not assume that disconnecting power will always clear a previously selected delay. If your screen does not show an immediate-charging or no-delay option, contact support@depow.com with a photo of the screen and product label.

Why didn’t delayed charging start?

• The setting was made after connecting the vehicle: disconnect the Type 2 connector, return the charger to standby and set the delay again.
• The charger is no longer powered: check that the charger still has power during the waiting period.
• The selected period has not finished: the displayed value is a delay from the time the setting is activated, not a specific time of day.
• Another schedule is active: check the vehicle and app if you also use their scheduling functions.
• The screen does not match this guide: check the model and product version on the label and use the supplied manual.
• An error is displayed: record the message and see How to View Error Messages in the App.

Dual Wallbox and DC Wallbox

The steps above do not apply to the Dual Wallbox or the 20/30/40 kW DC Wallbox. These products use different touchscreen or configuration interfaces and do not use the same 0.5-to-8-hour button sequence.

Use the manual for the exact product and have installer- or administrator-level settings handled by appropriately qualified personnel.
