This mounting procedure applies to the dé 7 kW, 11 kW and 22 kW AC Wallbox. Mount the backplate, secure the Wallbox to it, connect the inlet cable to the three-phase power supply, and complete the settings before connecting the Type 2 cable to the vehicle. An electrician is not required for this procedure.
Before you begin
- Keep the Type 2 connector disconnected from the vehicle.
- Identify the wall mounting backplate on the rear of the Wallbox.
- Refer to the 7/11/22 kW Wallbox user manual for the instructions supplied with your product.
Mount the AC Wallbox
1. Locate the backplate
Turn the Wallbox over and locate the pre-installed wall mounting backplate on the rear of the unit.
2. Remove the backplate
Press the elastic limiting clips on the backplate to the left. This releases the clips from the Wallbox. Slide the backplate downward to remove it.
If the clips do not release, do not force the backplate. Check that you are pressing the clips in the direction shown below.
3. Fix the backplate to the wall
Position the backplate with its raised side facing outward and its limiting clips facing downward. Fix it to the wall with the expansion screws.
Check that the backplate is firmly installed before attaching the Wallbox. Do not continue if the backplate moves or feels loose.
4. Attach the Wallbox
Align the snap fitting on the rear of the Wallbox with the matching fitting on the backplate. Fit the Wallbox onto the backplate, then slide it downward.
You should hear a clear click when the Wallbox and backplate lock together. If you do not hear the click or the Wallbox feels loose, remove it, realign the fittings and try again.
Connect and prepare the Wallbox
- Connect the Wallbox inlet cable to the three-phase power supply.
- Set the charging current and delay time before connecting the vehicle.
- Connect the Type 2 charging cable to the vehicle to use Plug-and-Play mode.
Important: The current and delay-time settings cannot be changed after the Type 2 connector has been plugged into the vehicle’s charging port.
For instructions on the controls, see Charger Screen and Button Functions Explained. When you are ready to charge, follow How to Start Charging in Plug-and-Play Mode.
