How to Install and Set Up the App

If you have already installed Tuya Smart or Smart Life for a current dé portable AC charger or AC wallbox, open the app and register a new account or log in to an existing account. Your initial app setup is complete when you are logged in and can see the app home page.

If the app is not yet installed on your phone, first follow how to download the app.

Register a new account

1. Open the app. Find Tuya Smart or Smart Life on your phone and tap the app icon.
2. Select Register. When the Privacy Policy appears, read it and select Agree to continue to the registration page.
3. Check your country or region. The app uses the country or region detected from your phone. You can change it during registration, but you cannot change it after the account has been registered.
4. Enter your account information. Enter your email address or mobile number, then select Get Verification Code.
5. Enter the verification code. Use the code sent to your email address or mobile number. The app will then open the password setup page.
6. Create your password. Set the password as requested on the screen, then select Done.

Important: Check the country or region before completing registration. It cannot be changed after the account has been registered.

Log in with an existing account

1. Open Tuya Smart or Smart Life.
2. Select Register with Existing Account.
3. Check the country or region detected by the app, or select the correct one yourself.
4. Enter the email address or mobile number used for the account.
5. Enter your password and log in.

Log in with a verification code

You can use this method if you cannot remember your password.

1. Select Login with SMS.
2. Check the country or region. If the account was registered with a mobile number, select the same country or region used during registration.
3. Enter your registered mobile number or email address.
4. Select Get Verification Code.
5. Enter the verification code to log in.

Reset a forgotten password

1. Select Forgot Password on the login page.
2. Check or select the country or region.
3. Enter the mobile number or email address used to register the account.
4. Select Get Verification Code.
5. Enter the code received by SMS or email.
6. Set a new password and select Done. The app will log you in with the new password.

Security reminder: The app checks the phone system for rooting or jailbreaking risks during login. If it detects a risk, a Security Reminder will appear. If you do not select an option, the app will close automatically.

Continue after signing in

When you can see the app home page, the account setup is complete. Your charger will not appear until it has been added. Continue with how to add a charger to the app.
